Purpose
Teaching language arts is a privilege and responsibility that I take seriously. My objective as an instructor is to positively impact the intellectual and social growth of my students. Readying them for standardized tests, college entrance exams, and essays are central to my curricular design, but I also strive to make literature accessible and enriching. Enabling their unique, defensible analysis, along with effective communicative and writing skills, drives me as a teacher.
My own devotion to the written and spoken word are evident and contagious in my classes. Being an effective and reliable part of my school's academic and extracurricular spheres is important to me. Whether through speech teams, drama programs, school papers, or debate clubs, I am eager to emphasize the importance of a linguistically capable student body. Sample Student Work
